Comin to Life

Was too lazie to blog in yesterday.

A book not yet read is held still, the story fixed within the words. Once read, characters come to life, and when the book is put down, characters once again become transfixed, in the state the reader last bring them to action, or rather, froze them. Characters replay themselves as many times as many readers flip through the pages, like a movie on roll, without free will, as when they were first created, destined to die, or to go through school, or be plagued with problems.

Reminds one of the queerness of the quantum world, where the unobserved nanoscopic particles behave like children: according to rules under a watchful eye, but totally unexpected and mischievious when unsupervised. Can imagine the letters of the alphabet scrambling around when the cover is closed, weaving totally different plots with wonderfully unique characters, but falling neatly into their respective positions when reading resumes once more.

Went for badminton session yesterday morning. Lunch partners were discussing alcoholic drinks and badminton rackets. Want to try all the different flavours under the different names of rum, vodka, sake, coconut wine, beer, cider, champagne, reds and whites, and what-have-yous.

Gonna look for work to do for more pocket money after exams, and change a style. Getting bored with myself.
