Thoroughly exercised, brain and brawn. Kicked off the day with the now-too-frequent instrument moving, to yet another venue. The guzhengs, pipas, drum sets, yangqins, harp, big heavy muscle-pulling stuff. But it was all fun, nice atmosphere and all, everyone helpful and smiling. And there were nice plans to convert our orchestra to Sports CO, haha, in view of the easy access we have to the badminton and basketball courts and ping-pong tables.
Lunch was followed by a long and vivacious badminton session at one of the courts. Although it was quite a squeeze, three on each side, it was welcoming, given the carrying and lugging and lunch earlier on. And we rounded it up with tai-ti. Now, feel tired but contented.
A story:
Daughter observed the fat old feline creature lazing idly. She tried to catch her attention, but she ignored her, and nestled herself against the mother. Mother started nagging daughter regarding household income, not that she did not pay for the bills and expenses, but because the mother was a hardcore gambler. Daughter became irritated and short-tempered, and after a few short sharp exchanges, locked herself up in her room.
Daughter came home to dinner time. Mother was feeding Cat, who as usual remained aloof to the newcomer, her daily dose of crackers, this time of a new brand as highly recommended by daughter. She was popping them into her mouth as she greeted her daughter with yet another caustic remark. Daughter ignored that and settled down to her meal.
Mother and Cat were found dead when daughter returned to the house after work at the F&B research department. Both were suspected to have died of poisoning. Peace.
