Race against Time. Everywhere, all the time. Here's a fault of equivocation committed of the term in question-the interchangeable usage of the different concepts of the word, thus creating confusion or poor clarity. Time refers to the symbol that humans refer to, in almost a respectful manner, with the imagery of the ageless idol that travelled through the passage of events; time refers then to the common idea that is often used, in describing the flow of things. There are other concepts to the word, such as in the time taken (duration), what is the time (the naming of a specific moment) etc.

Einstein proposed a four coordinate non-euclidean geometry of the world we live in, the fourth coordinate being time and the other three indicating space. Space itself has no meaning for us, being just a static, something like a frame in the entire roll of film. Only with time can events, a series of statics, happen. Time was said to have existed only with the birth of the Universe, hence it is a property of the world. Here, i suspect another meaning of time is adopted.

But we are fighting against this innate element of the world. If it is a product of the world, and if the world tries to move faster, won't time itself be running faster too? Fighting to meet deadlines, against wrinkles and black spots, to catch trains-and birds worms- to meet the demands of hungry customers forming a snakey queue, to squeeze products within expiry dates, to pass the NAPFA or BMT whatsoever, to get a degree through various timed pieces of tests and quizzes and projects............ it goes on infinitely. Why do we have to slave purselves under this secondary property of our world? It exists because of us, but we are fearing for our own existence cos of it.
