pple

MANY JC mates overseas now; can hope for a reunion 5 yrs later, probably.

Worked the weekend away at bk-time spent there is getting dreary and weary. Gonna bring up issue of resignation with boss next time i see him.

Tests on the way, real soon. 2 days left of break, wow. Mid-term tests-there is no boundary regarding when the tests are scheduled, just that they'll be scattered around the 4-day break, 1 week before and after, so effectively they seem extra painful-the short break sandwiched in between.

Participated in a small MAF performance at a pri school in the west. Initial plans were that the orc would put up an hour's worth of performance, and that freaked us all out-our usual mini perf was half hour; need more contents, and given our small repertoire, we had to come up with quizzes and individual instrumental demos-however(thankfully as well, probably), we arrived late and was then required to just fill in the 20-min gap left. So hasty cuts in the prog had to be made-a further 15 min spent on getting pple ready and grasping the situation. Unpleasant experience, but to be learnt well.

think i should re-understand the people around me. Got hold of 'Reading Pple'-to learn and predict pple's behaviour through observable clues. Getting unsure ard pple-can't seem to understand pple i used to know. Must have been taking things for granted for too long.

Observed a young girl-abt 2 yrs old?-with her father seated directly opposite on the bus. Father was carrying an akwardly small backpack-awkard not only beacause it was small, but the man looked weather-beaten, heavy and unbulliable-in short, a used-to-be gangster, clean-shaven head under a cap worn the other way. And hence the odd combination of fragile kid and big man with cap and small bag-with a plastic bag of biscuits creatively tied to the strap of the bag- sat in front. The air vent was a lil strong, and the father, seated under the vent-the girl nearer the passage aisle, in a few swift movements, stroked the girl's limbs with his powerful hands, probably rough too, to warm up the girl. She then sneezed a husky wheeze, and he turned around and, finger and thumb pinching the bridge of the small soft nose, gave it a few good rubs. And he planted the small bag in her lap, giving gentle instructions to hug it. Nearing the interchange, he recovered the bag from her and akwardly, slipped his big arms through the straps, after which he collected the girl from her seat and together they trooped out to fulfil the excursion of the day. Nice.
